about

This is the score we wrote for the Warehouse Theater's performance of The Tempest by Shakespeare. Robert Richmond directed this play and he asked us for very dark music as he wished to take the play in that direction. The same actor played Caliban and Prospero, and the double bass sounds were symbolic of him and also the island on which he resided. The same female actor also played the roles of Miranda and Ariel, so all the female vocals in the score represent the voice of Ariel. The director asked us to just stick with voice and bass and so we did. All the sounds you hear are voice and bass with some electronic manipulations.

We had such an amazing time writing the music for this play and we'd love to thank the Warehouse Theater for the opportunity. We can't wait to work with them again!
