Porcelain Creature

lyrics

Porcelain Creature

Treacherous little cracks
Villainous twisting cracks
Tracing the lie inside

Before the healing can begin
Something has to break
When you think that you are whole
But then you find a crack

As one crack leads to another
You trace that lying path
Until the whole facade collapses
Then where will we be?

But I could have sworn that I was whole
Better off than most
At least that is what I thought
Not I’m not so sure

Porcelain creature
So beautiful
Will you shatter?
Will you hold?

Before your story can be told
I will need some little gift
Something you won’t even miss
What it is, I think you’ll guess
